CROSSING THE MIDLINE Did you know that crossing t CROSSING THE MIDLINE

Did you know that crossing the center of your body is a foundational skill for reading?

When little ones practice movements that cross the imaginary center line of their body, like reaching across to the opposite knee, they strengthen the connection between the left and right sides of the brain. This builds the exact visual tracking pathways they’ll need to read across a page from left to right!

Try it at home today:

1️⃣ Grab two egg shakers or wooden spoons
2️⃣ Play a favourite song
3️⃣ Tap your left knee with your right shaker, then switch!

📌 Save this post for your next music playtime!

💬 Does your little one love cross-body dances? Tell us below!

Even when two instruments are played at the same volume, they can sound completely different. That's because every instrument has its own timbre - the unique quality that gives a sound its character.

When little ones explore different instruments in music class, they're learning to listen closely, notice differences and discover a whole world of sounds.

Try this at home: Tap a pot with a wooden spoon, then shake a container of rice. Can your little one hear how different they sound? 🎶

Not every special moment comes with a plan. Somet Not every special moment comes with a plan.

Sometimes, it's an unexpected giggle, a curious little pause, a burst of laughter, or a child finding their own way to experience the music.

We plan the songs and activities, but the moments we remember most? Often, they're the ones we never planned for.

Perhaps that's the magic of music classes. 💛

🦆 More Than Just a Song 🎵 Five Little Ducks might 🦆 More Than Just a Song 🎵

Five Little Ducks might sound like a simple counting song, but there's plenty of learning hiding in the verses.

Children don’t need to feel like they’re “doing maths” to be building early maths skills. That's the beauty of learning through music!

What song does your little one love singing again and again?

What do rabbits, the moon and music have in common What do rabbits, the moon and music have in common?

A rabbit hops to its own beat.
The moon follows its own beautiful cycle.
And music gives us rhythms to listen to, move to and share.

But there is another rhythm we all know - the rhythm of family.

The familiar songs we sing together, the traditions we return to yearly, the routines that become part of our family story.

This Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrate the rhythms that make each family uniquely yours.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 🌕🐇🎶

Here's a little peek at the team - from our studio classrooms to preschools across Singapore, our teachers bring music, movement, creativity and plenty of joy to children every day.

This isn’t everyone (we couldn’t quite fit the whole team into one reel! 😄), but it’s a glimpse of the many teachers who share the same passion for making music a joyful part of childhood.
